Fred Claus - CIS Instructor
Fred grew up in the time when personal home computers were just becoming a thing. In fact, Fred's curiosity got the better of him when his uncle purchased their first computer, a Commodore 64. Fred took the computer apart just to see how it worked. As you can imagine, his uncle wasn't too pleased. After Fred was able to put it back together and the computer worked perfectly, his uncle began suggesting that Fred make this his career.
Twenty odd years later Fred, who was a professional photographer at the time, decided it was time for a career change and went back to school to earn his degree in computers. Since then Fred has earned a Bachelors in Technical Management, as well as a Masters in Information Systems Management and a Graduate Certificate in Information Security.
Today Fred owns his own IT company and uses his gifts to teach others how to use technology. Fred's teaching experience has been both online and in the classroom. He has taught classes through his company, Husky Logic, as well as for schools such as Niagara County Community College and Penn Foster College.
